G’day Nash Hashers!
Since we opened registrations for Adelaide Nash Hash ’27 in late June almost 200 of you have registered, and a bit over half of those have also registered for the Red Dress Run. That’s a good start! Please spread the word that regos are open.
The Slovenian Club main venue has an official capacity of 750 people. Allowing 30 places for food and bar staff, security, band members etc means that we can have up to 720 Nash Hashers registered – so that’s the proposed cut-off number.
The current Early Bird rego fee is $420 for Nash Hash and $80 for the Red Dress Run. Please register and pay for these events separately to make our job easier. Note that the Early Bird rego period will finish at some stage and the Nash Hash rego price will then increase, so get in early while its cheap! Early Bird regos help us plan better based on survey answers such as Tshirt size and drink preferences etc – and also allow us to earn more bank interest to cover costs. Come on Beer drinkers, you are lacking in the numbers, sign on quick, its not a wine festival.
We have received fliers for two pre-lube events - the Ladies Lunch and the Over 100kg H3 Run 14. These are now on the website (adelaidenashhash27.au) under “Announcements”. We would love to see more pre and post-lubes announced – please send us your fliers and we’ll add them on the website.
We would also like to hear from those hashes or hashers who are planning a Hash Act or would like to volunteer to help run a circle for Nash Hash 27. Hammersley H3 springs to mind for some strange reason – but we’d love a lot more.
The venue for the Red Dress Run on Thursday afternoon 29 April will be the Astral Hotel in the heart of the East End entertainment area on Rundle Street in the city.
We are gradually adding public transport and general accommodation information on the website, including caravan parks. Please read that before you contact us on those subjects.
And lastly we would encourage prospective bidders for Aussie Nash Hash in 2029 to consider and submit their bids well before Adelaide Nash Hash ’27 so that we can hold a vote at the GM’s meeting if required and hopefully make an announcement.
Cheers and On On,
Chesty - on behalf of the Adelaide Nash Hash ’27 Committee
